In our time in age; social media is without a doubt one of the most effective marketing platforms in history. As a musician, it not like it used to be. You can’t chill at a popular gas station, mall, or shopping center and pass out your CD’s. We have evolved. You must come with more than just being lyrically inclined. Your stage presence. Your social media. Youre life in front of ,as well as, behind the camera. Close mouths do not get fed and this is something artist struggle with each and everyday.
If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around; did it make a sound?
I’ve heard my fair share of masterpieces and others; not so much. Regardless, if you want others to acknowledge your talent you must put it on display. If I recorded the best song ever and left it downloaded on my computer; who would hear it? Would anyone else know it the best song ever? Probably not.
